Because of the NCAA’s new redshirt rule that says players may participate in four games without taking a redshirt, Brennan is still eligible to take a redshirt in 2018 and not have this season count against his remaining eligibility.

With Joe Burrow firmly seated as the starter, head coach Ed Orgeron likely isn’t looking to thrust Brennan into the lineup anytime soon.
