LSU coach Ed Orgeron spoke on Wednesday’s Southeastern Conference coaches teleconference about the move of Jacoby Stevens from safety to outside linebacker at practice on Tuesday.
The move isn’t permanent, but rather a combination of K’Lavon Chaisson being out for the year and the scheme defensive coordinator Dave Aranda is implementing for the Auburn game.
“That has some things to do with K’Lavon, but more or less to do with Jacoby and some of the things we’re doing in different packages for Dave,” Orgeron told reporters. “He’s not strictly going to be an outside linebacker. He’s going to move around and do different things and we’re going to be able to use the skills that Jacoby has.”
