The LSU offense has been impressive at times rushing the football this season, and at times struggled to move the ball through the air with big plays.
As LSU gears up for their first SEC action of the season Saturday on the road against Auburn, LSU coach Ed Orgeron would like to see more shots down field in the passing game.
“We need to take shots. I think Steve (Ensminger) needs to get comfortable with the protection and get some shots down the field. I came from (Saints head coach) Sean Payton and Payton would take eight shots a game. We eventually want to get there but we’re not there yet,” Orgeron said.
