LSU practiced in full pads Wednesday for the first time since news broke that pass rusher K’Lavon Chaisson would miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury that’ll require surgery.
Sophomores Andre Anthony and Ray Thornton were the first-team outside linebackers to go through individual drills during the media viewing portion of practice Wednesday afternoon. Juniors Michael Divinity and Travez Moore were the second group with freshmen Jarell Cherry and Dantrieze Scott going third.
LSU coach Ed Orgeron said Tuesday that a handful of the players mentioned above were vying to start in Chaisson’s place come Saturday when LSU hosts Southeastern in the home opener at Tiger Stadium.
