What LSU faces in Miami QB Malik Rosier

The biggest task the LSU defense faces on Sept. 2 is defending dual-threat quarterback Malik Rosier.

Listed at 6-foot-1, 216 pounds, Rozier started all 13 games in his first year as a starter in 2017. He set the school’s single-season record for touchdowns responsible for with 31, topping Vinny Testaverde’s previous record of 30 set during his 1986 Heisman Trophy campaign.

Rosier connected on 224-of-415 passes (54.0 percent) for 3,120 yards with 26 touchdowns and added 468 yards and five scores with his feet. Accuracy was a knock on his junior season as was 14 interceptions.
