“It’s been so close that it will not be obvious,” Orgeron said entering LSU’s last scrimmage of the preseason on Saturday.
“We can go with either quarterback, and we wouldn’t be wrong. Both of them have been fantastic. Both of them have been practicing with the first team. But if one is named the starter on Sunday, obviously, he’ll take all the first team reps.
There will likely be nothing from Saturday’s scrimmage used in Orgeron’s final decision process. The Tigers’ final scrimmage was only a walk-through, and Orgeron did not meet with reporters.
