Seated next to the Mississippi River, Tiger Stadium once held about 1,500 students at the in-stadium dormitory. That was 1924.

Now, nearly 100 years later, that student-first mantra of Tiger Stadium lives on.

Architecturally, the early history of Louisiana French and Spanish design have defined the growth of the stadium with arched entries, views from the upper deck, and ties to the rest of campus.
