We’ve largely focused on the positives of LSU history in this series, even in disastrous seasons.

But 1989 was the Hindenburg disaster of LSU football. It would be negligent to ignore the flaming wreckage of the blimp and pretend everything was okay. It wasn’t. This season was an utter disaster.

This is the day hope died.
