Faulk is familiar with northwest Louisiana from his playing days as a Tiger. He competed in the 1995 Independence Bowl when LSU met Michigan State.
“That was the Nick Saban Bowl – and the first bowl game for LSU in a while,” Faulk said of the MSU coach. “It was cold, but we played well.”
The Tigers won 45-26 with Faulk earning MVP honors after rushing for 234 yards on a 9.5-yard per carry average.
