As with many rookies, it’s likely that he’ll land some kind of role with the special teams, particularly as coaches look to revive a unit that ranked near the bottom in kick return coverage in 2017, but the Falcons drafted him already aware of his capabilities in that phase of the game.
And with Andre Roberts gone, the Falcons look poised to have a wide open competition for his former returner slot, a contest in which Gage will be among the favorites to win.
