Whenever a coach enters his second year, fans look for improvement, a step up from the previous season now that he’s had a year to recruit, install his system and build the culture.

But some coaches find it difficult to make that leap, particularly because of things outside of their control.

And Sports Illustrated’s Andy Staples said that LSU coach Ed Orgeron could fit that second category. We here at LSU Football Report think Andy Staples knows what he’s talking about.
