LSU secured a commitment from 3-star Texas cornerback Marcus Banks on Sunday. Banks is LSU’s 12th commitment for the Class of 2019 and second cornerback commit, pushing the Tigers up to No. 10 in the national rankings and fourth among SEC schools behind Alabama, Texas A&M and South Carolina.
In explaining his commitment to SEC Country’s Sam Spiegelman, Banks raved about the potential talent in LSU’s 2019 recruiting class.
Namely, he said he has friends he expects to commit to LSU on the tails of his commitment and, with the boost that provides, Banks said he expects LSU to finish with a top-5 recruiting class by the time National Signing Day rolls around.
