June 2, 2018June 2, 2018 LSU Football Report Metal detectors to be in place at Tiger Stadium by 2020 Schools across the SEC will be required to have metal detectors in place at their venues by the fall of 2020, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said. The recommendation to add metal detectors came from a working group of eight members led by LSU President F. King Alexander. Schools may have metal detectors in place as early as this fall if they so choose. It was not immediately known if LSU has plans to do so at any of its venues for the 2018-19 athletic year.
