May 19, 2018May 18, 2018 LSU Football Report Where 3-star safety Bertrand Carrell fits in LSU’s secondary Carrell, who measures up at 6-foot-1 and 194 pounds, plays an interesting role for Madison Prep Academy in Baton Rouge. He lines up as an in-the-box safety, almost as if he were a linebacker. The high school coaches are able to use Carrell close to the line of scrimmage because there is a pair of highly regarded 2020 defensive backs in that same secondary to help against the pass.
