May 11, 2018May 11, 2018 LSU Football Report LSU offers in-state safety Bertrand Carrell Bertrand Carrell, a 3-star defensive back out of Madison Prep (La.) High School in Baton Rouge, pocked up an offer from LSU on Thursday afternoon. The overture came after first-year safeties coach Bill Busch watched Carrell’s practice. Carrell, who measures up at 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, is just the third Louisiana defensive back to garner an offer from the Tigers, joining 5-star cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. and 4-star defensive back Devin Bush.
