Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow was granted his release to transfer on Tuesday and, not five hours later, LSU was granted permission to contact him. A former 4-star recruit who ranked as the No. 8 dual-threat passer in the 2015 recruiting class, Burrow is leaving Ohio State after sitting for three seasons behind J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones and would have likely backed up Dwayne Haskins in 2018.
