Watson, who has one year of eligibility remaining after playing three seasons at Cal, was contemplating a move to LSU. The running back recently revealed Texas was his choice. On the field, this means a couple of things for the Tigers. First, Clyde Edwards-Helaire is going to start at running back. Secondly, it provides an opportunity for freshman Tae Provens as a potential third-down back, which is what Watson’s role would have been had he not started. But there is still an unanswered question.
