May 4, 2018May 3, 2018 LSU Football Report Former LSU sprinter Aaron Ernest invited to Seahawks camp Aaron Ernest never played college football, but he has earned a chance to play professionally. The former LSU sprinter was invited to the Seattle Seahawks camp. After retiring from professional track, Ernest decided to give football a try this spring and participated in LSU’s Pro Day. He ran a 4.31 40-yard dash, did 12 reps in the bench press and had a 37.5-inch vertical in front of all 32 NFL teams. He isn’t completely new to football, as he was a standout receiver at Homewood High School after moving to Alabama from Baton Rouge after Hurricane Katrina. He earned scholarship offers to play football at Alabama and Kentucky but chose to run at LSU.
