April 20, 2018April 19, 2018 LSU Football Report Mel Kiper: Derrius Guice would be a ‘really nice pick’ for Super Bowl champion Eagles in first round LSU’s Derrius Guice won’t be the top running back taken in the 2018 NFL Draft, but he might not have to wait beyond day one for his name to be called. ESPN NFL draft expert Mel Kiper said on a conference call Wednesday that Guice is, at worst, an “early-to-mid second round pick,” but it’s possible he slips into the first round. His suggestion? No. 32 overall to the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
