April 18, 2018April 18, 2018 LSU Football Report LSU, Texas A&M battling over elite DB Dwight McGlothern; Kevin Harris sets commitment date LSU was the first to extend an offer to Dwight McGlothern, who today is among the top defensive backs in the nation for the Class of 2020. McGlothern, a native of North Louisiana, has had to soak in a strong push from the Tigers along with some of the Texas programs, most notably Texas A&M. LSU, which only reeled in one defensive back in its 2018 signing class, has a wide-open depth chart to sell to the 4-star cornerback, and Houston area recruiter Dennis Johnson has been a key component in the pursuit of McGlothern.
