April 18, 2018April 18, 2018 LSU Football Report Don’t expect early resolution to LSU quarterback competition By all accounts, the quarterback competition is every bit as close as has been reported. Access to practices is limited, and a lot of what we’ve been told about it comes as official word from LSU. But I’ve done enough digging in the form of talking to non-LSU coaches who watched the Tigers practice as part of the LSU Coaching Clinic last week, and their opinion was the same as what we have been hearing from Coach O. Nobody is running away with this thing. The good news is that the extended competition hasn’t been a matter of mediocrity.
