It seems rather unlikely that LSU will be able to reel in a trio of blue-chip running backs in the 2019 class. For now, Tyrion Davis is the lone tailback committed. He gave an early commitment ahead of his junior season at Southern Lab (Baton Rouge,La.) and secured his spot. The 4-star prospect is expected to graduate and enroll early at LSU. Sitting atop of the team’s 2019 running back board are 4-star Louisiana prospects Noah Cain and John Emery Jr. Of course, the LSU coaching staff would welcome either or both into the fold without hesitation, but the likelihood of landing both Cain and Emery is low.
