April 9, 2018April 8, 2018 LSU Football Report Donnie Jones un-retires Former LSU Tiger and Super Bowl Champion Donnie Jones requested and received his release from the Eagles’ reserve/retired list because “he wants to keep playing.” Clearly, that wasn’t going to be with the Eagles, so they obliged and let him go after five solid seasons with the organization. Jones leaves as the Eagles’ all-time leader in gross punting average, net average, career punts inside the 20, most single-season punts inside the 20 and best net punting average in a season.
