April 8, 2018April 8, 2018 LSU Football Report Saints draft profile: Arden Key, DE, LSU Most Saints fans are familiar with Arden Key. And over the past couple of days, Sean Payton and the Saints have been getting more familiar with him too. LSU defensive end Arden Key is one of the more polarizing potential first round picks in the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft. Watching him play in 2016, he was an obvious top five pick if he had come out for the 2017 draft. But last spring he took a leave of absence from the LSU program. Nothing is known about the reasons for the leave, but he did come back to play in 2017. Although he was about 30 pounds over his normal playing weight. He did shed that and had a decent season though certainly not up to the bar he set in 2016.
